Playing System, Rules & Regulations

Playing System

The following playing system is subject to the number of teams registered for 2025.

Round Robin

Teams are divided into two Pools (Pool A and B) of 7 teams. Teams will play against teams in their pool, in a single round robin. Points are awarded to teams after each game:

  • Win / Win by default = 2 points

  • Draw = 1 point

  • Loss / Loss by default = 0 points

Due to the odd number of teams per pool, one team from each pool will have a coaching session scheduled instead of a game. These coaching sessions will help you learn more about the game and improve over the season. Please see the Round Robin draw to find out when your coaching session is.

Seeding Rounds

After the Round Robin, the top four teams in each pool (based on number of points) progress to the Premier Group and the bottom four teams in each pool go into the Championship Group.

In the Premier Group, teams will only carry over the points gained against teams in their new seeding pool (points gained against teams NOT in their seeding pool are not carried over). Teams only play against teams they have not already played against. Points gained are added to their points carried over from the round robin.

In the Championship Group, teams will not carry over any points and will play against all teams once.

Playoffs

After the Seeding Rounds, Teams are ranked within their group according to their number of points.

In the Premier Group, the top four teams go to the A playoffs, the bottom four teams go to the B playoffs.

In the Championship Group, the top two / middle two / bottom two teams play each other in the Finals to determine their place overall.
